Update on Grammar Course for Key Stage One and Two English Teachers
The pilot course went ahead as planned and was very well-received. The superb feedback provided by the course’s 20 delegates has enabled us to make the course even more accessible and practical for teachers.
The course now includes many more resources that can be used with pupils to teach the statutory grammar areas of the National Curriculum AND the learning activities on the course itself have been streamlined to include essential knowledge that is taught using methods that teachers can replicate in their own classrooms.
Each delegate will also leave the course with a set of our easily- digestible and to-the-point handouts on the following grammar areas: clauses, apostrophes, verb tenses, aspects and voices, modal verbs, pronouns, conjunctions, prepositions, adverbs and adverb phrases, determiners, the essentials of teaching grammar, grammar games and a directory of tried and tested supporting teaching and learning resources.
We believe that not only will our course make the teaching and learning of English grammar more effective, but also it could shatter the illusion that it’s a dull and difficult subject.
